MA-04 Voter-Data FOIA — Records Officer Contact List
Requester on all letters: Jason Poulos, 33 Everett St., Sherborn, MA 01770 · jason@poulos.house Statute cited: M.G.L. c. 66, § 10 (Public Records Law); voter-list requests also cite M.G.L. c. 51, § 47C. Delivery: Each letter is marked Via First-Class Mail and E-Mail — mail the signed copy and email a PDF to the address below. Generated: June 10, 2026.
Why each town is on the list
These are the MA-04 municipalities where the campaign’s data is missing. The 4th District has 35 cities/towns; we have voter rolls for 33 of them.
- No voter rolls AND no history → request both (voter registration list + Extract 7/13): Blackstone, Norton. (These two are the only MA-04 towns with zero rows in our database.)
- Have rolls, but no usable voter history → request history only (Extract 7/13): Brookline (0.3%), Newton (0.3%), Needham (0.5%), Dighton (2.7%). Percentages are the share of each town’s voters currently carrying any participation flag — effectively zero. (For comparison, a town we do have history for runs 60–85%.)
Removed June 10, 2026: Sherborn and Hopedale — their voter-history data has since been obtained and is being imported into the canvass database, so no FOIA is needed for them.
Voter history sought: the Extract 7 and Extract 13 data from the central voter registry (VRIS/VoteIT), for all six of the 2020/2022/2024 September state primaries and November state (general) elections — dates: 9/1/2020, 11/3/2020, 9/6/2022, 11/8/2022, 9/3/2024, 11/5/2024.

Notes / verify before sending
- Brookline email (
townclerk@brooklinema.gov): the town site masks the address; this follows the town’s standard pattern but confirm via the Town Clerk page or the online records portal, which is Brookline’s preferred channel. - Norton address: the Town Clerk sits in the Norton Municipal Center, 70 East Main Street (Rm 135); some listings show 72 East Main St — both reach the office.
- Newton uses
elections@newtonma.gov(the same address on the existing Auchincloss-record FOIA template). - Several towns (Brookline, Newton, Norton, Needham) also offer an online public-records portal — emailing the letter is fine, but the portal may be faster.
